About the Civil Service Commission Chairman
Mr. Khalid Jama Qodax is the current Chairman of Somaliland civil Service Commission, Civil Service Institute and Somaliland Local Government Institute. In September 2021, the President of Somaliland nominated him to lead the public sector reform.
Mr. Qodax graduated from the University of Hargeisa in his Bachelor’s Degree on Business administration and gained his Postgraduate Degrees from Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Hargeisa.
He is a certified manager from Chartered Management Institute from UK and he has more than ten years of conducting research and training with different natures as well as a humanitarian interventions expert.
Mr. Khalid is an advocacy and lobbying expert, researcher, and trainer with more than ten years of experience in working with humanitarian organizations including Somaliland civil society and Somaliland media institutions. He is the author of two books and several articles and was the former vice chairman of Somaliland Writer’s Association. He is also the Chief Editor of Kobciye Magazine in the United Kingdom.

About the Civil Service Commission’s Deputy Chairman
Amina Hussien Mohamoud was born and raised in Hargeisa, Somaliland. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Master’s Degree in Executive Business Administration from Abaarso Tech University in Hargeisa.
She has worked as a Program Officer at Institute of Practical Research and training as a trainer and business management consultant. She also worked as Admin & Finance, Tax officer at the Somaliland Inland Revenue Department.
Beginning of 2021, Amina was appointed as the Director General of the Ministry of Telecommunication performing coordination role at the Ministry as well as policy setting while the Functional heads of department are responsible for executing the technical aspects of the Ministry's functions.
Currently, Amina was appointed as Deputy Chairman Civil Service commission by the President of Somaliland.
About The Civil Service Commission Director General
On 29th June 2022, the President of the Republic of Somaliland appointed Khalid Mire as the new Director General of Civil Service Commission.
What do you know about the new Director General ?
Khaalid Mire Nuux waxa uu ku takhasusay maamulka iyo maaraynta isaga oo leh khibrad ka badan 10 sannadood oo uu ka soo shaqeeyay maamulka maaliyadda, falanqaynta xogta, maamulka mashaariicda iyo arrimaha tiknoolajiyadda. Waxa uu hadda wadaa shahaadada labaad oo uu ku qaatay Maamulka Barnaamijyada iyo Siyaasadaha.
Khaalid waxa uu soo qabta xilal hore isaga oo ka mid ahaa guddidii farsamo ee wasaaradda maaliyadda Somaliland ay sannadkii 2015 u magacawday in ay dejiyaan nidaamka maamulka hantida ma guurtada ah ee dawladda. Sannadkii 2016, waxa loo magacaabay xubin ka mid ah guddida farsamo ee tababarka, hagista iyo dejinta istiraatijiyadda hirgelinta nidaamka maamulka maaliyadda Jamhuuriyadda Somaliland.
